DIY: That’s a Wrap

My favorite gift wrap often includes personalized embellishments. I wrapped this package for my daughter's birthday. I think the gold leaf letter K—her initial—is a nice contrast with the simple brown wrapping paper and twine.

How to do it:

• Wrap the gift in brown butcher block paper (available in a roll at office supply stores)

• Use twine as the gift wrap ribbon

• Add a personalized embellishment. In this gift wrap project, I wanted to use my daughter's first initial and I found a golden letter K that can be displayed in her room after the package is opened. A wide selection of letters can be found at craft stores.
